Kristi, I felt gutted yesterday, when Tom called to tell me the news of Jacob's passing! Thoughts and prayers are with you, Kevin, Zak and all who loved him! There are no words of comfort I can offer except, perhaps, those of Shakespeare, when he wrote: "...and, when he shall die, take him and cut him out into little stars; And, he will make the face of heaven so fine, that all the world will be in love with night..." Godspeed~

I am deeply saddened by Jacob's passing. I knew him for several years at Lee-Davis and he ALWAYS cheered me up with his positive personality and insightful way of looking at things. My heart goes out to his family at this very sad time.

I enjoyed every minute I spent teaching Jacob at LDHS. I'm not sure if he learned more from me - or me from him. He was warm and funny, laser-smart, and super kind. I wish I had just one more day with him. Rest easy, sweet boy.
