So appreciated for their amazing care, compassion and helping Jacques and the family cope through the difficult times, the neurosurgery team, especially Dr. Diana- Cristina Ghinda, Dr. Adam Sachs and Dr. John Sinclair, and nurses, especially Susan Singh- Vaid for her special loving attention at NOA, Ottawa Civic, Jane Mahoney, Social Worker. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Palliative Care at the Embassy West for their tears, hugs and words of encouragement. Thank you so much for making Jacques feel special as the end of his life approached.

You were the love of my life ,and the the most caring and giving friend anyone could have. Over the past 42 years we shared everything . I have many memories that will keep me company until we meet again. You traveled all over and I was grateful to have the opportunity to be with you on many trips. Although our plans to retire to Palm Springs will not happen I know you are in a the vacation spot of your dreams. I think of every day and cherish the times we had together. I will miss you and the fun times were having and going to have. Your life was full and you did more in your 58 years then many. You were loved and will be missed by many .

Jacques, as I sat alone having a small lunch at the market today I remembered you and I a few weeks ago being there together... how would we know that in such a short time you would not be here... would we have sat and talked longer, would you have left so soon after lunch because you had to get your hair cut before they closed, or would we have just stayed and talked about old times and how we have enjoyed each other's company. Talk about how much we have cherished times together, my visits to Montreal to party at the Limelight, yes... when beautiful Vera was there, the day I showed up at the Four Season with my hair crimped by Claude, you were so shocked..., my visits to your VanHorn and to Hibernia apartment... with Denis, Claude, Raymond... and the train track :-), you being Bob's best man at our wedding... you looked so nice, the birth of you little ones and how you took good care of them for so long, the trips, especially the PV area, shopping for condos and homes we would buy and share for a few months in the winter months when we got old, and restaurants to go to, you introducing me to a little hole in the wall where they cooked shrimps and made up a wrap, which tasted amazing... all for $3.95 :-), Famous Archie's Wok, the great Italian restaurant in the middle of old PV, Dee's coffee shop, the blue chairs, the concert at the point near the ocean, the artist at the boardwalk, the Mexican women coming from the mountain on Saturday and Sunday with their pastries concerts, wine tastings, plants and landscaping we could do, trimming my garden, the wines we drank late in the night near the pool... and you saving me as I had too much, the lights you installed in my garden at Calico... how beautiful was that, the birth of my girls, your ideas on decorating my house, you buying your house on Merganser... downtown! :-), your recent purchase of your SUV, I was so happy for you,... well it's being fixed and will look very nice in a couple of week, you taking mom to Khrystal's wedding... lots of work, how excited you were about the purchase of your Fraction in PV and how we had discussed what was the best time to be there, our birthday presents to each other... more concerts or trips, you being at my 60th! I was so happy you were there, although I knew as you said this was not one of the places you were interested in going for specific reasons which I understood, but you were there anyway, helping some of the design of our new house and how you loved it at first site, and of course Christmas parties... I like to go on and on because I never want to let go of all those moments that we have shared together. My pain of not having you to share any more of these moments again will never go away. I will always keep you close to my heart and will bring you to my travels and hopefully you will see the beauty through my eyes. Love xxx Diane

I am so sad to hear this news. Jacques and I were very close when we were young. We lost touch over the years but I always loved him very much and I will never forget him. My deepest sympathies to all who loved him, especially his mother and brothers and sisters. I have so many fond memories. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
