Jake Kroeger Obituary

Jake M. Kroeger, 25, of Stockton, Iowa, died on Sunday, January 1, 2006, in Colorado, as the result of an avalanche while snowmobiling.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2006, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2006, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. The officiant will be Pastor Ron Huber. Interment will take place in the Durant Cemetery.
Jake Kroeger was born January 15, 1980, to Jerry and Vicki (McKenney) Kroeger in Davenport. He graduated from Durant High School in 1998 and attended Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie. He was a member of Scott County Snow Seeker and East Central Iowa Tractor Pullers Association.
He worked at Elder Implement, Durant, as a Diesel mechanic and farmed with his dad in Scott County. He previously had worked at Mid-America Diesel in Davenport.
Jake enjoyed tractor pulls, snowmobiling and farming. He enjoyed the out-of-doors and working with his hands. He could take apart and fix about anything. He built and restored his 9600 Ford tractor that he used in tractor pulls. He was a member of Scott County Snow Seeker and East Central Iowa Tractor Pullers Association.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his parents, Jerry and Vicki Kroeger, of Stockton, Iowa; his sisters, Jesse (Mrs. Bryce) Bewley, of Davenport, and Justine Kroeger, of Stockton; the love of his life, Julie Wilson, of McCausland, Iowa; his grandparents, Warren and Dolores McKenney, of Davenport, and Dorothy Kroeger, of Stockton; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leroy Kroeger, his uncle, Keith Kroeger, and his aunt, Debbie D'Angelo.

Jake was a jolly guy full of laughs and always fun to be around. My thoughts are with the Kroeger family and all who knew him.We will miss him.

I just wanted to send my love and sympathy out to Jakes family. Jake was such a nice and easygoing guy. I will never forget the times jake came over to visit with my brothers Ben and Jon, we would all laugh together and have such a good time. Jake was alot of fun. We will miss him.
