James George Donaldson

James George Donaldson, Sr., 92, of Wellington, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010. The son of the late Guy and Amy (nee Lord) Donaldson, James was born in Elyria on August 17, 1917. James worked as a Millright at General Motors until his retirement in 1981 after 32 years. He and his wife ran Wellington Water Hauling for many years. James was a member and past president of the Wellington Eagles Aerie 2051, a member of the American Legion Post 8 and the V.F.W., both of Wellington. His hobbies included bowling, gardening and horses. James is survived by a son, James (Linda) Donaldson, Jr. of Wellington; daughter, Laura L. (Robert) Parry of North Olmsted; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, and a sister, Beatrice Arndt. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 25 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington with funeral services held Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
