James Field Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 19, 2006.
FIELD, James Roger 1979 - 2006 It is with profound sadness and heaviness of heart that we announce the passing of James Roger Field on December 14, 2006 in Winnipeg, MN. He leaves to mourn: parents Roger and Angele Field, Grande Prairie; sisters Shelley (Sean) Halliday and children Cameron, Juliette, Jane and Samuel of Coquitlam, BC, Alison (Matt) Schneider and daughter Magdalena of Calgary, AB; brother Thomas (Marie) Field and son Charlie of Edmonton, AB; grandparents Robert and Marion Field; godparents Jack and Dayle Field. He was predeceased by grandparents Helen Field, Albert and Juliette Lema. Countless relatives and friends are deeply saddened by the loss of James. Special thanks to cousin and friend, Scott Field. James was born in Grande Prairie, the fourth child of the Field family. He was part of the 106th Avenue neighborhood. He attended Ecole St. Gerard, St. Clement, St. Joseph's High School, NAIT and was in his final year of a Masters program in Architecture at the University of Manitoba, his grandfather Field's alma mater. James took great pleasure in the outdoors - wildlife, bonfires, log riding, river boating and rafting with friends. We will miss his quick wit, impassioned banter and musical talent. His acts of service will be remembered by family, friends, community and guests of the Field Stone Inn. Both Prayer Service on Tuesday, December 19 at 8:00 p.m., and Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 20 at 1:00 p.m., will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (10113-103 Avenue) in Grande Prairie. Inurnment will follow on Thursday, December 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grande Prairie cemetery. Donations to the St. Joseph Building Fund are greatly appreciated. Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected].
