JAMES HENNING Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 13 to Oct. 20, 2012.
James Anthony Henning, "Tony" 57, passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2012. Survived by his wife Serena, daughters Aubree and Aurora, and son Richard. A veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. A jack of all trades, Tony could fix anything. A friend to all and a stranger to none, Tony will be sorely missed. He lived to ride and will do so, in our hearts, forever. The memorial services will be held on October 16th, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the San Jose Funeral Home on 601 S. Virginia St, El Paso TX 79901.

Tony - My bother Tom Antone called me and shared that Carlos Gandara and Frank Romero had informed him of your death. I am sure all three of them have so many happy memories of the times of youth that shaped you as men. I was honored to be one of your first teenage girlfriends. I saw you off to the Navy and back home again. I was humbled when you and Serena called me when I lived in New Orleans in 1995(?) because you wanted her to know that I was your special friend and that you wanted me to know of your love for each other, That will be a very treasured moment in my heart. I hope your three precious children are half as smart as you, they will excel. I know you have enriched your family's life and I appreciate the time I got to share with you. May God bless us all.

Tony, my childhood friend, always protected me like a brother, may you rest in peace. Please give your Mom my love. The Lord is rejoicing that such a loving man is home. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Tony, I taught your older daughter and now I have your other daughter. Rest assured that you have in me a pair of eyes looking out for your babies. JL Carbajal, Navy Comrade

A greater son-in-law than I could have ever wished for. You have brought joy and laughter into my life and impressed me with your fatherhood skills in developing the lives of my three grandchildren. God took you too soon, but you'll live on memories of all you have touched. I will forever miss you, but never forget you. Love your "Grandcop".

Compadre, we lived a very interesting and exciting life. I will always treasure our friendship and always remember my obligation to all your children. As Aubrey's Godfather, I will become a more integral part of her life and be there when she needs to cry on someone's shoulder. Rest in Peace my brother.
