James Lesniak Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 10, 2016.

James (Jim) Lesniak passed away on May 9, 2016. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Jennie, his wife of 32 years. Jim leaves behind a legacy of friendships and humor, ever the encourager to others and always the center of many family gatherings. Jim knew no strangers. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. His passion in life was his family, friends and deep faith. As a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, we are comforted in knowing Jim is now alive in the arms of his Savior. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and many friends.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Saturday, May 14th, at 3:00 p.m. in Christian Family Chapel, 10365 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, FL 32258.

Memorial contributions are preferred to his favorite charities, The Salvation Army, www.give.salvationarmyusa.org or the City Rescue Mission, www.crmjax.org/donations.

Jennie,
I just today found Jim's obit online. Looked you up on a whim, thinking of saying hello to an old friend. I am so sorry for your loss; unless you have been there as I have also, it's hard to understand the feeling of pain and loss.
Hope I can track you down someday and we can talk about when times were better.

Jennie - This past weekend, I attended my 50th class reunion of Washington High School in Milwaukee. The night before, I was with three classmates - Chris Crum, Andy Meyer and Judy Brown, and we were looking up good friends from our class. Much to our shock and dismay, we found this site. Cannot tell you how we wished that it was not true. Jim was a dear, dear friend and brought joy to all that knew him. I have very special memories and I am happy to see that his faith was an important part of his life. Thoughts and prayers are with you-now and in the difficult days ahead. My favorite quote is "grief is the price we pay for love." I knew Jim's family as well, and I know he is rejoicing with his parents and sister. My sympathies to his nieces - Kelly and Jody and to other family members. May God give you strength and may the wonderful memories you shared give you peace knowing that he loved you. Sincerely, Mary (Kirchberger) Krol

Mrs. Lesniak and family, I weep with you.
I was Jim's group leader in BSF 2012/2013. I am so sad to hear of his early move to our Fathers house. I will miss his infectious smile and any further opportunity dig into the Word of God with him. So glad his eternal destination was secure and am rejoicing as you will one day, that he is knowing intimately the Living Word where there are no more questions, no more pain, no more dying, no more tears, no more sorrow.

What can I say about Jim. He was a one of a kind. I will miss him something terrible and family occasions will never be the same. I know that he is at peace now, but it doesn't stop the hurt. We love you Jim.

Jenny: We will always remember Jim as a man who could light up any room that he walked into. We know that his energy was contagious and he made everyone he met feel very special. We appreciated Jim and his love for the Lord. We also loved that he took time out of his life and became a wonderful friend and mentor to our son. Jim will be missed and our hearts are breaking for all who had the privilege to know him, love him and call him friend. Our prayers are with you.
