I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I played softball for Jim in the 60's and 70's. He was the ultimate coach and leader. I often look to that period as the best time of my life. Even my grandchildren know about my coach. I have seen him through the years and Jim just never changed...always looked the same...amazing. My deepest sympathy to Carol and his lovely family.

We so appreciate Jim's devotion, efforts and time that he gave for Reading Historical Society. Jim was very important in planning memorable public events and helping to preserve the heritage and history of his wonderful home town. He was a joy to run into and talk with.

I played Softball for JIM in the late 60’s and 70’s through St Peter and Paul Young Ladies Team. We had many Championship Teams and we all learned many things from JIM.

I want to send my deepest sympathy to Jim’s wife and his family on his passing. I met him through the Reading historical society as I was a trustee for the city of Redding for five years. I have helped the historical society with the design of flyers for the events they hosted , and truly enjoyed any conversations I had with him. He was such a great guy and always had a smile on his face. Jim was always so excited about the city of Reading and his beloved historical society. May he rest in peace!
