Eddie really touched our Friday night bowling team.I'm glad we were able to win a championship with him aboard We and the rest of the league will really miss him. I'm grateful of the time I had to get to know him and I'll miss his encourging us all on and the discussions we had between a true Sox fan and true Cubs fans. He always made things intresting and fun when you were around him.

I coached with and against Eddie as our kids played youth sports together. He was always a friend first and opponent second. I will sorely miss him during the upcoming high school baseball season. God recruited one heck of a baseball manager and I know Eddie is coaching baseball in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with Gayla, Doug and Colin.

My son played for and against the L.V. Timberwolves. Eddie made the program what it is today. I'm sorry for your loss.

Eddie bowled with our team on Friday night's in Round Lake. Eddie was an outstanding teammate, but a better friend and inspiration. He was as competitive as can be, but in the end, win or lose, always shook your hand, wished you well and never had a bad word to say about anyone. I miss him every Friday at the bowling alley. My deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

I worked the neighoring customer territory to Eddie's as a follow technician at Fedex, retiring in late 2003. I visited Eddie at the hospital in August. He was watching the Sox get globbered and a little worried about their recent slump. I stayed for about an hour and a half. It was good afternoon for me and I hope for him. My thoughts are with his entire family.
