1937 - 2012
Passed away at the Montreal General Hospital on September 15, 2012 at the age of 75. Predeceased by his first wife Phyllis Gavin. Beloved husband of Colleen Bridget Skarstedt. Loving father of Leigh-Anne (Nino) and Leslie (Rami). Dear Grandfather of Ashleigh, Bradley, Amy, Drew and Kyle. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Brian (Sandra), Marlene, Pat (Connie), Sharon and Kevin (Kimm) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral home on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 7pm to 9pm and Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm. The funeral mass will take place on September 20, 2012 at St-Patrick's Basilica, 460 Rene-Levesque West, Montreal, at 10:30am, followed by an Internment at Notre- Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.

Leigh & Leslie, I just heard about your dad's passing and was so shocked. I saw him a couple of years ago at my brother-in-law's furnal and had a nice chat with him catching up on everything. I will always remember the singing and piano playing in the apartment building. I think everyone would stop everything just to sit and listen. I am sure my mom has Jim very busy playing the piano for everyone up there!

Dear Colleen, Leigh, Leslie and Family, we are very sad for your loss. I have fond childhood memories of sleep overs & Uncle Jimmy taking us for car rides. Through the years every time I smell the scent of a cigar I'm reminded of Uncle Jimmy. Our family get together's he always played the piano for us, he was an amazing piano player!

Dear Leslie and Leigh-Anne...your dad's death was brought to my attention by a Montreal friend ..who remembered my association with the family...I was shocked and saddened to read of it ...and remember only your vibrant dad playing the piano ..so wonderfully ! your voice, your smile, your warm embrace. You gave the best hugs.
I wish I could tell you I miss you so much but your time had come and I had to let go of that dear hand that held mine for the last time.
I wish I could tell you how much I loved you, how much I will always love you, and to thank you for twenty long wonderful years of happiness and of the rewarding spiritual friendship you gave me.

Dear Leighanne and Leslie and families,
The McCool cousins in CA are so sad for your loss and will greatly miss Uncle Jimmy. We have so many great memories of him and of spending time with all of you when we would visit in the summers.
