Dear Marian and family,
We were so sorry to hear about Jim. He was s gentle soul, with such a nice way about him. Looking at the photo you've shared reminded me of the pictures he took at our wedding and how wonderfully they turned out.

I would like to send my condolences to Marian and family on the passing of Jim. He was a special Guy!
I remember when Jim joined the Radio team some 30 years ago. Joan Simmons put in a good word and
said that Jim was Dependable, Dedicated and a nice man. He was that and more!
Jim first acted as summer relief and when we realized his many qualities, was soon employed full time.
Over the years Jim has had to deal with many challenges ( read demanding producers! ) but he dealt
with all of them with Equanimity and class.
I remember I always felt at ease when Jim was on duty and a special sense of relief when I had to call him
for early morning operations. I suspect that Jim ,at times, had his stomach tied up in knots but he always
displayed a calming demeanor which was contagious to those he worked with.
Jim was a credit to CBC Edmonton and he will definitely be missed.

So sad to hear about Jim's passing. The elevator at CBC was notoriously slow – and I was always happy to be stuck in there with him. He was such a sweet man.

I was sad to hear that Jim had died. I worked with him at CBC Radio in the 1980s and 90s. He was a good man, a great tech and a true gentleman. Jim was always respectful of others, taking time to hear what they had to say. Jim Parslow made the world a better place; he pushed humanity in the right direction. I'll light a candle for him.

Jim always had a calming effect on people...in a creative workspace where such a talent was well appreciated! 'Always had a nice word for everybody and a solution for almost every problem. He also took pride in sharing whatever French he could muster with the guys from CHFA. "Thank you Jim for crossing our paths". My very best to the family.

My deepest condolence on the passing of Jim.
I remembered him well, along with his sister, Sandra from my days at CBC. He was a real presence at work, and his obituary really fits his character.
Jim will be missed and I will offer my prayers for him and his family at church today.
