I am very sad to learn of Bud's passing and sadder still that I was not able to attend the memorial. We worked together for a number of years and I came to know him as a wonderful person. His compassion for others was unforgettable. His love for his family was unmatched - he was so proud of each and every one of you! I will miss his laugh most of all, and his story telling...he could tell stories better than anyone I know!
My life is richer having had him in it, even for a little while.
Sincerely, Joy Hamilton

I personally wish to extend by sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. James "Bud" Scarlett. Having been in the Life Insurance Business for many years, Bud exemplified the true meaning of manliness. He loved his family most dearly. I will never forget him and Anne.

I wish to extend my most sincere sympathy to the family, friends and relatives of Mr."Bud" Scarlett. As a former employee of Jim Larmond, I have wonderful memories of our business meetings in Jim's office. I remember too, his lovely wife Anne, and also grieved at her passing. I'm sure he has had a safe journey 'home' into the loving arms of Anne and his beloved Maker. They will both be fondly remembered.

When I was new to the area, Bud always went out of his way to make me feel welcome and call me by name. I appreciated his kindness very much and wish I had told him. Rest in Peace Bud, with your beloved Anne and other loved ones & in God's loving arms. You truly deserve it.

To the family of Bud. Losing a father is very difficult for all of you and his many friends. Jack and I will always remember the good old days of the Amherstburg baseball teams. The days of summer will bring wonderful memories of many good friends. Deepest sympathies.
