Jan KACZKOWSKI

KACZKOWSKI, Jan 1924 -2018 Jan died two weeks after his 94th birthday. He leaves his wife Eva (Zaborski) of 62 years, his son Peter and wife Sara Savage and their son Michael, and his daughters Hania and Basia. Jan was born in Krakow, Poland, grew up in Gdynia, fought in the Polish Underground Army during the Second World War, escaped Poland to Sweden in 1947, and immigrated to Canada in 1951. Jan was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a good man, a loyal and dependable friend, and had a great sense of humour. In accordance with Jan's wishes, only a small private celebration of his life will take place.
