Janet Sproule Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 9, 2018.
Janet Ann Sproule

Our love could not hold her. Janet Sproule went home to be with her Lord on July 6th, 2018. She left us with a lifetime of memories of her love and devotion. Holding fast to those memories are her three sons Trevor: Jason, and Kaleb, and her husband of 30 years, Tim. She is also survived by her brother, Jim, from Calgary, and her brother-in-law, Ron Weaver of Coure D'Alene, Idaho. Janet was predeceased by her sister, Connie Weaver.

Janet was born on October 22, 1964 in Edmonton to Peter and Mary Wakulchyk who still live on her childhood farm in Bonnyville, Alberta. She pursued a career as an Imaging Technologist, obtaining her diploma from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1984. Janet worked in both Alberta and British Columbia while raising her family with her husband. Later, she completed an Associate Bachelor of Arts diploma in 2000 and a Bachelor of Education degree from Okanagan University College in 2004. She was recently able to combine her careers as an instructor in the Medical Radiography Program at Camosun College.

Her love of adventure and the outdoors included a passion for boating, waterskiing, hiking, snowboarding, scuba diving and camping – all of which she shared with her family. She loved to travel and explore the caves and waterfalls around BC and the other places she visited. One of her dreams was to be the oldest female waterskier.

You will always be in our hearts, dear Janet.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Vernon Alliance Church, 2601 – 43rd Avenue, Vernon, B.C. A private burial service will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
