I often think of Jason, he was a friend of my son, Glenn Saylor, who lost his battle with cancer Jan. 8, 2011, right before Jason. I hope you and Jason's entire family are doing well. I know such a loss as a precious son is never gotten over, we just somehow have to find a way to live without them. Best wishes to you, esp. this time of the year when memories are so fresh.

I will always remember Jason and feel a connection to his family. He and my son Glenn were battling cancer at the same time, and passed away within a few months of each other. I am so sorry for the pain the family feels, a pain that never completely goes away. He is in a much better place now and forever disease free.

Jason it's been six years and you are always in our thoughts and hearts everyday. Our thoughts are always with you. The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand, The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers in the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains. For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. We Love You Always and Forever Until We Meet Again. Mom and Dad

Wow Jason Mom can't believe Dustin came to be with you. Both you boys are way to young to leave us here without you. A day does not pass that I do not think about you. You two stay out of trouble and we will all be together again. We love you so much and miss you! Mom, Dad, Brian and Willie

Hi, how are you all doing? I am having a very hard time dealng with our precious Glenn's death. I don't know if it will ever get better, but people say it will. I just want to see him again & that will be in heaven. I really feel sadness for you & your family & I understand what you are going through. I wish I had met Jason, Glenn thought highly of him & always commented about how well he looked & seemed to be doing every time he saw him at the doctors office.

I was deeply saddened when I learned about Jason's passing. I have been friends with him since our first job together and throughout high school.
From one cancer patient to another, I know what he went through was a battle and I admire his strength and courage throughout his fight. He will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

For Jason
(& his family)
God saw that he was getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around him,
And whispered "Come with Me"
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts
to prove to us
He only takes the best.
(adapted from original)
With love in our hearts and tears in our eyes,
We pray that God will give you all comfort, until you see him again.

What I remember most about Jason was that he was one of the most polite young men that I ever met. He shared a few Italian dinners at our home during his high school years and truly made an impact. My husband and I are sincerely sorry for his family's loss and our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I was not a personal friend of Jasons, I have only met him a couple of times. On a cruise ship was one of those times. He was the entertaiment for us all, he stole the show making us laugh, from karaoking to just simply being Jason... he just had a look about him! What can I say big smile, big heart! He touched the lives of others and that is an amazing gift! Thank you Jason!

I have only known Jason a short time through our Hockey Team on Sunday nights. He was one of the most laid back guys I ever met and a damn good Hockey Player. I would apologize to him on the bench for a horrible pass or for hitting him with the puck and he would say, no problem, don't worry about it. Brian on the other hand would kill ya and Willie would just ask for some of your water.
I know you are in a better place, but I will miss seeing you at Hockey on Sunday nights. My thoughts and prayers are with Willie, Brian, and your Family.
Rest in Peace Brother.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Gay & Family, you do not know me but I just had to tell you how sorry I am to hear of Jasons passing. Our family is going through the same thing right now & it hit us hard to know that Jason lost his battle with cancer. Our son, Glenn Saylor, knew Jason, I think they had chemo together a few times. Glenn graduated from the police academy March 2010 but never got to realize his dream of being a policeman. Glenn was diagnosed the middle of Feb. 2010, right before Jason, and Jason began his chemo treatments before Glenn. Glenn passed away Jan. 8, 2011. He had lung, liver & bone cancer. His colon had been removed in 2005 due to colitis & we think that is where the cancer started from. We followed Jasons progress as best we could through our son in law, Steve, and was so sad to hear that he had taken a turn for the worse. We were praying for him, and will continue to pray for your family that somehow through this grief that God will bring you comfort and peace. We know how hard it is to deal with such a great loss, no parent should ever have to bury their child.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. May their memories give strength to those who loved you.

My condolences and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Jason. This is a young man I practically watched grow up and become a great athlete as well as a great man. Jason took his job with the Sheriff's Dept. seriously and did his best to serve the citizens of Pasco County. I will always remember his great sense of humor also.It will truly be an empty feeling when I don't see that #20 out there playing hockey. Jason we all love you.Rest in peace my dear friend.
