Jason Peterson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 7 to Feb. 8, 2005.
Jason Peterson MOUNTAIN GREEN - Jason Brad Peterson passed away Friday, February 4, 2005, at McKay Dee Hospital Center, surrounded by his close family members. He was born June 28, 1984 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Brad Dennis Peterson and Laurie Ann Gunderson Peterson. Jason will be remembered by all who knew him as a sweet, gentle young man who was willing to always help anyone. He truly had a heart of gold. He was particularly close to his little sister, Brittney. He loved to tease her and make her laugh. He was the best big brother anyone could have. Jason grew up in Riverdale, Utah, graduating from Bonneville High School in 2002. He worked with his dad for the family business, Ace Fab & Welding. Jason liked outdoor sports and activities, snowboarding, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, boating, golfing and hunting with his cousin, Ladd. He spent two summers in Alaska fishing. He also loved spending time at the family cabin in the Uintas. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Nico le (Chad) Spendlove of Clinton, UT; Brittney Peterson, Mountain Green, UT; and a very caring brother-in-law, Chad Spendlove. He is also survived by his grandparents, Dennis W. and Beth Peterson, South Ogden UT; Bruce (Sheryl) Gunderson, Sunset, UT; Doris (Gordon) Linford, Sunset, UT; and many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. "Jason, Bud, Bubba, you are so deeply loved, and we will miss you everyday for the rest of our lives. You will remain in our hearts and minds forever. You were always so thoughtful and always thinking of others. We will miss your big bear hugs and sweet smile." Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at 12 Noon at the LDS Mountain Green Ward Chapel, 4150 West Old Hwy Road, Morgan, UT. Friends and family may call at the church, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to funeral services. Interment will be at the Mountain Green Cemetery. Laurie, I just want to let you know how much I feel for your loss. As time goes on, it does get a little easier, and the great memories stay with you forever. It makes me wonder why God chooses to take someone so young, but he must have needed him back home for a greater purpose. My thoughts are with you. God Bless You.

Laurie and Family,

My profound condolences during this time of grief. I pray that God will ease your pain and whisper comfort to your soul. While the sting of this loss will probably never fully heal, it is my hope that over time, only the memories of joyous times spent with your loved one will remain in your hearts.

May God bless and keep you.
