Jay D. Fosbrink

Jay D. Fosbrink, 39, of Medora, passed away, Saturday, April 19, 2014.
Jay was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, White Creek. He was a self-employed taxidermist and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a passionate outdoors person.
Born Nov. 11, 1974, in Seymour, he was the son of Jerry Fosbrink and Jaynie Moss Fosbrink McKain.
He married Joanna Russell on Aug. 27, 2005, in Medora. She survives.
Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Jerry and Janet Fosbrink of Columbus; mother, Jaynie Moss Fosbrink; stepfather, Sonny McKain of Seymour; one daughter, Jayla Grace Fosbrink of Medora; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kevin and Brenda Russell; one brother, Jesse Fosbrink of Columbus; two half-brothers, David Fosbrink and Luke Fosbrink, both of Columbus; one stepbrother, Michael Hayes of Gainesville, Fla.; two stepsisters, Amy Henson of Brownstown and Beth Wilson of Evansville; one nephew, Derrick Fosbrink of Seymour; paternal grandmother, Ruby Fosbrink of Brownstown; and maternal grandparents, Pierce and Martha Moss of Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Alvin Fosbrink.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Jeff Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to a family scholarship.
