Jean HOUGAN Obituary
Jean Hougan passed away peacefully at Lifestyles Terra Losa on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 90. She lived most of her life in the Garneau Area. Jean worked in the insurance business for many years (Greenan Insurance) and was an avid bridge player both recreationally and competitively. Later, she loved golfing with her husband and friends and enjoyed travelling via cruise ship. She and her husband were long time members of the "Iroquois Hunting Club" on Big Lake. Jean was predeceased by her husband Harold W Hougan in 1995 and by brothers Jack and Bill.
She completed her life as she lived it with quiet strength and dignity.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son John (Lori) and daughter Linda (Eric), granddaughters Alyson and Sheri (Keith) and great-grandchildren Matthew and Elizabeth.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Terra Losa. At Jean's request, no funeral will be held.

My condolences to Jean's family. My husband and I met Jean at the Centre of Lung Health where we exercised together. We also visited her in her house when Don, my husband, checked out some of the problems she encountered. My husband died 2 1/2 years ago. The group who exercised together is getting smaller. I always enjoyed my chats with Jean. Yvonne Perrin

So sorry to hear of my cousin Jean's passing. Her Mother Mary was my fathers [Earl Alvin Cox]sister.

Jean and I were Barclay cousins. Our paths have diverged for many years, but I remember well her pleasant personality and her generosity of spirit. I am sorry to see her go, and feel the poorer for it.
