Jean Leo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 17, 2016.

Jean J. Leo, 98, of Spring Hill, Florida passed in peace, Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

Jean was born on May 3, 1918. Her parents, Ulderico and Nunziata Biasini raised Jean, along with her 2 brothers and 3 sisters in Philadelphia . Jean survived her parents and siblings and lived an amazing life, all 98 years! Jean was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as a Department Manager for Walgreens in Miami for many years and, after retiring, worked for Capital Bank, Miami in the Statement Department. Jean was a loving, and proud mother to Deborah. She enjoyed living near her daughter and her family whether in Miami or when they moved to Springhill, Florida in 1997. She was always full of life, had a great sense of humor, and a deep, genuine, warm heart. In 1997 when Jean and her family relocated to Spring Hill, Florida she enjoyed working as a volunteer at Mid-Florida Community Center. In the final months of her life, Jean was joined by one of her many grand-dogs, “Chase” a Rhodesian Ridgeback, who became her loyal companion. Chase loved “Grandma” and stayed by her bedside. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends, and all that knew and loved her. Jean is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rocco, son-in-law, Joseph Rocco, Grandson, Daniel Rocco, and dear friend and companion, Daniel Loren. Family and friends will gather at the Turner Funeral Home for Visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. Location: 14360 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, Florida 34609 – Telephone: 352-796-9661
