Jeanette Shirley Baker
1949~2015

Jeanette Shirley Baker, 65, A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, honey (nanna) and best friend to all, passed away on March 15, 2015 in Stockton, UT. She was born in Tooele in 1949, to Julia Ann Walker Rigby & Samuel Wesley Rigby Sr. She was the 8th child of 12, and the 7th sibling to pass on. She completed the 10th grade. She married Larry E. Baker on May 14, 1974 in Elko, NV. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Later in life she discovered a lump. And of course it was cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy to remove it. After healing she begun the reconstruction and told everyone no more south for these twins. All warmth and sunshine from now on. She beat the cancer, the first of her siblings to do so. To Jeanette, Bingo wasn't just a hobby, it was a life style. Growing up in the large family that she did, at any time she could call any one and get a few together to play many different games; some of her favorite were: Buy it, Phase 10, Skip-o, oh and let's not forget about the noisy rattling bones (aka dice). Jeanette also loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved making others laugh with her very loved human ways (wink, wink) and telling stories about the good ole days from way back when…the ones when they walked to school in 5 feet of snow, uphill, both ways.
Jeanette is survived by her husband; Larry Baker, children; Lisa (Ron, Jr.) Hansen, Brenda Lea (Dave) Radden and Alicia Englert, Siblings; Kenny (Julie) Rigby, Kimball (Sharron) Rigby, Gayle (Elaine) Rigby, John (Esther) Rigby, and Rose (Dave) Arno, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Billy Rigby, Joanne Raland, Samuel Rigby Jr., Cathy Peterson, Maxine Schmidt, and Donna Garner.
Services for Jeanette will be held on Friday march 20, 2015 at 1:00pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City. A viewing will be held just one hour prior to services on Friday. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
She will be missed by many. But will be with the many she's been missing. We Love You, Nanna Honey, Honey's Boys.

Uncle Larry and family,

Our deepest condolences to you all on the passing of Aunt Jeanette. May God give you the strength and faith you need to get you through this difficult time. As time does not heal all wounds it does manage to make it easier knowing she is in good hands with other family that has gone before her. Heaven is singing and laughing so loud right now!! Quiet the reunion she is having!! She will be missed as well as her silly jokes and sense of humor!! Especially her talking in her sleep at family camping trips. Rest in Peace Aunt Jeanette we love you always and forever!! Jeff, Marlene, Angie, Cody, Kara
