So many years have gone by since Jeanie passed from our world and left such an empty place in my heart. Those many years have left me holding the cherished memories of all the times we shared; the life experiences we lived, the farm and fields, woods and pastures we roamed and explored growing up, the conversations that took us from late night into early morning. And yet, I gain strength by a bond held tight by love of a true sister that transcends these passing years.

To the entire family on the loss of your beloved Jeanie, and to Dr. Swaney as well; please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I remember Jeanie as a young girl, when I spent many hours at your farm with my close friend Mary Beth. May you be comforted by each other and the fond memories of Jeanie that you share.
Fondly,
Deanna States Jackson

For Helyn and Nan, Jackie and Diane, Dr. Swaney, and Jeanie's parents and entire family: Please accept my condolences. This was so sudden and so unexpected -- my mind's eye will always see Jeanie on the back of a horse (the horse usually acting up and all of us of course a few years younger!). We weren't close, but through Nan we were friends - horse people almost always are! May you always carry the memory of her smiling, as I will.
