Jeffrey McDaniel Carbondale Jeffrey McDaniel, 30, died at his Carbondale home on May 23, 2005 (time unavailable). There will be a funeral service at Our Lady of the Lake, 501 W. State Street, Mahomet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Father John Horton and Msr. Robert Charlebois will officiate. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery (north of Mahomet). The visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Friday at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm Street, Champaign. He was born November 14, 1974 in Valparaiso to Britt (Vicki Reid) McDaniel of Champaign and Marjorie Holmes (Bob Saban) of Apache Junction, Arizona. Survivors also include paternal grandmother, Geraldine McDaniel of Valparaiso, IN; maternal grandfather, H. Dean Holmes of Deerfield Beach, FL; one sister, Deana McDaniel of Chicago; one step-brother, Matthew Carlton of White Heath, IL. He served in the U.S. Army from 1996-2001 as a Combat Engineer. He saw action in both Kuwait and Kosovo. He was stationed in Germany for the majority of his time in the service. He was a 1993 graduate of Mahomet-Seymour High School.
