Thinking about Jeff today. I knew him since I was a boy. He taught me to change a tire and he had the best laugh. I always felt like I was someone important when I got to hang out with him. He was a second dad to me for close to 20 years. Miss him very much.

I met Jeff when I was a High School exchange student in Des Moines, IA in 1993. I could not have hoped for a better host dad than Jeff when I lived with the Kruzichs: he made me feel welcome at my new American home right away, and was the most patient, kindest, and generous person. Jeff shaped my impression of America in such a positive way that I have always enjoyed coming back.

We stayed friends after I had returned home, and met several times in Iowa and Germany. During his many business trips to Europe, Jeff always tried to stop by at my home town Duesseldorf, so we could catch up and enjoy a cold Weizenbier along the Rhine river.

In 2015, I visited Jeff during a stopover in Dubai. Even though Roxanne and he were expecting their second son, he found the time to meet up. He told me how happy and excited he was to become a dad again.

Learning of Jeff's passing was a shock for me and my family. We wish Jeff's family, above all Roxanne and the boys, strength and confidence. You are in our hearts and prayers.

Roxanne and boys. I have fond memories of Jeff and his kindness, humor and thoughtfulness during the years we worked together at Zebra and afterwards. There are no words that can ease the pain you have, but perhaps knowing how well regarded Jeff was and is, will give you some measure of comfort in the future. My prayers are with you all.

I first met Jeff in 1999, he then became my boss from 2001 to 2005 at Zellweger Analytics time. This relation was not only about business but more than colleagues. He visited me several times in Germany and we had lot of nice experiences in excellent restaurants when we tasted the German white wine, Italian red wine and good food at all when I already was done, he shows up with some ideas to have a dessert I wonder where he hides all the sweets
One time he joined a Schuetzenfest with me, my parents are involved and we have been invited to come over for the barbecue. The attached picture shows Jeff an me with one of Jeff's favorites: German beer.
There is another picture showing the whole European Semi Sales Team in 2005 it was a great time to have Jeff as a boss! He was personally interested in our relationship away from the daily business duties.

Last but not least I'm glad that I meet you once, Roxanna, at the time when you visited Berlin with Jeff, but this is already some years back, 2010?
I will always keep Jeff in my best mind!

Dear Roxanna,
My sincere condolences to you and your family. I wish you all lots of strength during this difficult time. God bless you!

With deepest sympathy
Olaf

I first met Jeff in 1984. At the time he was a student at Simpson College (Indianola/Iowa) and took part in the summer program in Germany. He lived with my family in Schorndorf/Germany. Apart from quickly mastering the German language, he was also eager to learn all about life and culture in Europe. As we were of the same age, we soon became friends. Jeff returned to Germany in the following summer and again stayed with us. In return, I spent several weeks in Des Moines in 1986. Although for obvious reasons, there were not many opportunities to see each other in person, we have managed to keep contact for the last 30 years. We last met in 2011 when he and Roxanne took a tour across Europe and found the time to see us in Munich.

I am deeply moved by his passing away so early. Jeff was one of the nicest, funniest and most open-minded person I ever got to know. He was also great with children and our kids Jonas and Helen remember him very fondly. So does my mother Melanie who was Jeff's guest mother in 1984. Dear Roxanne, please accept our sincere condolences for your loss.

I worked with Jeff for the last two months at Cole-Parmer and quickly discovered that he was a great person (and fun) to work with. He treated everyone with respect and kindness, while being able to see the bigger picture and get things resolved. He helped to energize others around him and quickly put to motion some long term solutions to complex issues. We are all deeply saddened with the news of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew Jeff.

I was crushed to hear about Jeff. I only met him once - but oh what a meeting. He was larger than life and lit up the whole room. What a great guy. This was shortly before he got married. Jeff was part of our guerrilla job search boot camp and really gave courage and confidence to others. I was fortunate to meet him that one time when he drove down to Milwaukee but we had talked many times over the phone since then. I can not imagine how 'empty' his family and friends must feel at this moment. I know I was the better man for having met him. God bless.

Roxanne,
I always loved to hear Jeff talk about you and the boys because nothing made him happier in life than the 3 of you. Jeff had the greatest smile I have ever seen and that big smile got even larger when he spoke of the three most important people to him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My Condolences to all the Kruzich families.... Hopefully by all the memories of Jeff, your friends, family & God will help each & every one of you through the most saddest time of your lives. Our heart aches for all of you...Jeff played Babe Ruth with our son Wade- He was just always such a great kid..I rememer when our baseball team won State, they traveled ahead of us in the bus & some of the boys : ) decided it would be fun to "moon" some of the people behind them....Whether Jeff was one of them, am not sure, but of course "mum" was the word & I am sure, none of those boys would ever confess!! They were just having fun, now today they possibly would be fined & put in jail!! All of the memories of all those boys still brings laughter to us! RIP Jeff, although we haven't seen you for ages, the memories of you will last a lifetime & you'll so missed by everyone!!

I send so much love to Jeff's beautiful family. As an International Account Manager for Grainger I had the great pleasure of collaborating with him over the years to co-create strong customer relations that led to developing valuable supply chain solutions. In our conversations his interest, pride and love for his family always came through. I am very saddened to learn of his transition this last week. I think many of us are so surprised as with all of it happening so fast few of us even knew of his most recent battle for wellness. I pray for comfort and support for Roxanne and their 2 lil angles. Much love, Kate Riley-Lumley, Grainger Houston Export Sales Team
