I met Jeff many years ago. Was his Coach in Baseball and Soccer. Took him to his first Hockey games. Went to the Billiken's College games towards the end of they’re tenure. Took him to the Blue’s games. Obviously, that stuck with him.
He loved Hockey more than any other sport. He was an Excellent athlete. Besides Baseball & Soccer, he was a very good Basketball player. Introduced him to Golf and Tennis too. Caught on to both quickly. He was just a Natural. He went Camping with my Friends and I. We went to many Cardinal Games together. He had many many Friends of all ages at St. Anthony of Padua Church, where he grew up. His Uncle Joe would be at every Baseball and Soccer practice. He was a great guy. Jeff grew up to be a an Incredible adult. Obviously very smart. All his jobs seemed to end up in him being responsible for many employees. Loved his family Dearly. He will be in all our Memories forever.

I liked Jeff from the moment I met him several years ago at an EMRC meeting. He was a solid citizen, a serious professional, and a genuinely nice guy. He made our professional group better. My condolences to his family. May his spirit always be with you.

One of the best "work" trips ever with without a doubt the best boss and greatest friend anyone could ask for...

My deepest condolences and love to Liz and the Esserman Family. Jeff was amazing in every way. If it wasn’t for him, I’d probably still be in a theme park in Orlando and I am forever grateful that he gave me a chance, believed in me, and eventually became one of my greatest friends. I still see his smile and hear his laughter that brightened every room and feel the love and compassion that he not only had for his familybut for everyone. You will be missed terribly, but always in our hearts and memories. Love you buddy

To Jeff's family, you all have been in my prayers this week. I recently started playing hockey with Jeff and from day one it was easy to tell he was a kind and good-hearted person. A few weeks ago on the bench, Jeff was talking to me about his kids and asking about my family. It was obvious that he loved his kids and his family, and I could see the pride he had in talking about his children. May God lift you all up and just know that his former teammates are wishing you all the best during this difficult time. Take care, and God Bless.

I was on the Holy Infant men's Welcome Team with Jeff who gave our retreat to 15 other men in February, 2020. I will never forget how, without any hesitation or fanfare, Jeff said "yes" to joining the team the night he came up to church to pray for us. And then how, when asked what role he wanted to play on the retreat, he said: "Whatever role I can play behind the scenes to make the retreat a success for all the guys." I will always remember Jeff as a guy with a big heart and just as big a smile, a man who teaches me what humility means when it comes to being one of Christ's disciples. After God, the only thing Jeff loved more was his family. In fact, the only time Jeff ever missed one of our team's almost monthly follow up meetings since our retreat weekend in 2020 was for one of his family's events. I will miss him dearly. May perpetual light shine upon you Jeff and may you rest in peace. Godspeed and His blessings and peace to you Jeff and to your family.

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

John 16:33...in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

I had only a few conversations with Jeff. In my brief dealings with him, he showed kindness to me. Kindness is a key attribute of a disciple of Jesus Christ. Thank you Jeff.
I hope you will continue to grow together as a family under the banner of Jesus Christ. As you continue to work on this, you will find the peace that Jesus speaks of. That peace gives you confidence that you will be reunited with your family again in paradise if you keep His commandments.

Jeff is a St. Mary´s High School Alumnus, Class of 1986. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of St. Mary´s, both past and present, we extend our most heartfelt sympathy to Jeff´s family and friends.

Also know that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss. Special mention and offerings of condolences to Jeff´s classmates and to those students, who at one time or another, were either upper classmates or under classmates of his, and who may have known him personally or "of him" as someone they passed in the hallways, or shared a table with him in the cafeteria at lunchtime or maybe participated with him in some of the same extra-curricular activities that Jeff did from the time he enrolled as a Freshman in September of 1982 until the time he graduated as a Senior in June of 1986.

And although Jeff is gone from this life, his spirit has been and will always be here, on the Campus of St. Mary´s High School. And just as it was in life since the day he enrolled and became a "Son of Mary", daily prayers will continue to be said and daily masses will continue to be offered for him by the Brothers of Mary.
