Jeffrey Robert German

GERMAN, JEFFREY ROBERT Jeffrey Robert German, 59, of San Diego passed away unexpectedly October 16, 2006 in Rancho Mirage, CA. Jeff was an avid tennis player and golfer. He was a member at the Mission Hills Country Club where he had so many friends. He loved Rancho Mirage, which was his second residence, and had hoped to retire there. Jeff was born in Chicago, IL, May 18, 1947. He was the son of Henry and Maxine German. He was preceded in death by his mother, whom he dearly loved. Survivors included his wife, Linda of San Diego; stepson, Richard Austin of Gastonia, NC; step-grandson, Stephen Austin of Gastonia, NC; father, Henry German, of Vermilion, OH; sister, Wendy Johnson and her husband Bob of Lynchburg, OH; nieces, Andrea Johnson and her husband, Michael Sunden, of New York, NY, and Samantha Johnson who is currently serving in the Peace Corps in South Africa. Jeff served in the Air Force for four years, and worked in the computer industry for over 35 years. He was Vice-President of Global Support Operations for Hitachi Data Systems. He thought of his co-workers as his second family. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2006, at the Poway Community Center, located at 13094 Civic Center Drive in Poway, CA. 858-668-4671.
