Jeffrey Hathaway Obituary

Mr. Jeffrey "Jeff" Hathaway, 43, of Frederick, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at his home in Frederick.

Born February 19, 1964, in Baltimore, he was the son of Craig and Mary Hathaway of Walkersville.

Jeff received his bachelor's degree from University of Maryland University College in 2005.

He loved fishing, music and playing the piano and watching movies. Most important was Jeff's strong Catholic faith.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his son, Patrick Hathaway; two sisters, Kathleen Mitchel and Jeannine Haller and husband Jeff; and two brothers, Michael Hathaway and wife Felicia and Joseph Hathaway and wife Marlene. He is also survived by his nephews, Tony Mitchel and Michael Hathaway; and nieces, Colleen and Shannon Hathaway and Meghan, Jessica and Lauren Haller.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Steven Mitchel, and a niece, Danielle Mitchel.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 2. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Walkersville, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, with the Rev. Richard Murphy, the Rev. Andy Aaron and the Rev. Paul Witthauer officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gale Houses, Inc., 608 E. Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21702; or Way Station, Inc., 230 W. Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21705.
