Jeffrey Lent Obituary

Jeffrey David Lent
Jeff Lent passed away suddenly after complications from a stroke on Monday April 5th. Jeff graduated from PHS in 1978 and began a 20-year career as an over-the-road truck driver for State Transportation in Portsmouth. He also spent time with the Town of Hampton as a mechanic, and with Pinard Waste Systems in Dover.
In his youth, he was generally known as the life of any party. His quick-witted humor and fitting sound effects will be missed be those who knew and loved him. More recently, he loved birdwatching, enjoying nature, and simply watching his grandchildren at play.
Jeff was most happy spending time with his family, watching movies with his son, playing softball and talking football with his daughter, and watching the Boston sports teams dominate the sports world since 2001.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara (Reed) Lent, brothers Tom and Steve Lent, and their families, sister Marsha Lent and her family, as well as son Ryan Lent and his family, and daughter Courtney DeBit and her family. Jeff was also the proud stepfather to Nicole, Andrew, Allison and Erica Robinson and their families. He greatly enjoyed being known as 'Grampy' and 'Papa' to his 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
