Jeffrey Little Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 10, 2024.
Jeffrey Martin Little born 10 August 1960 in Newark NJ to Wilbert T Little and Shirley Jones. At the time of his birth Jeff had three brothers in the household, Ron, Glenn, and Keith, later in life locating a fourth sibling six years his junior, Albert. Jeff honorable served in the US Army and was a dedicated employee of Nationwide Insurance and Honda.

The latter being where he retired after many years earning his right to enjoy the option to visit family, relax with the beverage of choice, play his numbers, bringing life back to dead vehicles and debate current and past events.

Debating was a skill he was a master of. My brother did not believe in taking a loss, lol. He will be greatly missed by his family as well as those he adopted as such. Jasper, Steve, Tony, James Lee, Tamika and too many more to list within the limits of this space.

Over the past eleven months my brother had become increasingly agitated and distant as his weight and perspective on life as a retired person failed to reflect favorably in his view. My brother desired a relationship with his daughter. The combination of the death of our mother as well as his son weighed heavily.

We would like to take this moment to remind all to stay in tune to love one's that live alone, especially those that recently retired. For most of us this is a final chapter. My brother loved hard and when he disagreed, he did so even harder those who knew him knew he would "Drop the bomb on you" lol, these features were historically genetically consistent. Remember to love hard, create memories, forgive in hope others will shadow your forgiveness.

Recently, a sixty-four-year relationship was suddenly discontinued in a fashion that triggered an emotional ball of confusion. As crazy as it may seem the superior reaction was one of anger blended with extreme levels of hurt and loss. I do not know what the normal reaction to the sudden loss of a sibling as a first experience looks like, but I would assume the known facts that were contributory are pertinent to the reactions noted.

Since no relation is one like that of a sibling, especially that of those that were raised in an economically and socially challenged environment. That included the sharing of beds to learning to share a sandwich because no options existed while watching your mom go without. The transfer of clothing that was once owned by your older siblings. The connection of a shared womb and/or the genetic data that made us individuals as well as duplicates. I have four brothers, one no longer shares the air I breathe.

I have four brothers. I take solace in knowing that although he is without the body, but his soul is at peace and has joined our love ones that predeceased him.

We will never know the content of OUR own final chapter. That ending most likely will be told by others.

My brothers and I give Special thanks to: Uncle John, Aunt Jeanette, Uncle Charlie, Aunt Alberta, Aunt Jean Cousins Patricia Ann, Rose, Marsha Little, Markey and my wife Wanda Little aka (Mama Faye), Steve, Jasper and Bill and others that made direct efforts to help us during this difficult time.

Jeff was survived by his siblings, Ron (Wanda) Glenn, Keith, Albert (Donnetrice) his children, Aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family has set aside a time for refreshments and reflection at the home of his brother and sister in-law Ron & Wanda from 12:30 -3 pm on Wednesday 11 December 2024.

THE TEMPLE

Feeling of timelessness, soft light filtered through colored panes silence all about me. Yes, the room was filled with souls. Choir marching, He's climbing the stairs standing behind the altar draped in robes of soft rose anticipation growing Whispers gliding from mind to mind he is coming he is coming glory to his name

A magnificent radiant spark hovered on the great pulpit sending out wave after wave of love beyond my understanding

He has come swept through my head and one great blissful swell the voices of thought sung out he is here.
