Jeffrey Roberts Porter 1958 - 2023 Wilbraham Jeffrey Roberts Porter, 65, of Wilbraham, died late Tuesday morning on his birthday, March 21, 2023 at Orchard Valley at Wilbraham, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Hartford, CT a son of the late Harold E. "Bud" and Nancy (Sullivan) Porter. Jeff was educated from the Hampden Wilbraham Regional Schools system and was a graduate of Minnechaug High School Class of 1977. Jeff was employed for many years in the trucking & transportation industry and more recently in the petroleum trucking industry until his retirement. He lived in Wyoming for a number of years where he enjoyed all that the outdoors had to offer, especially skiing and fishing. Jeff was a dedicated worker all of his life, but no matter how many hours he worked he always found the time to give his undivided attention to his children and their activities. He was a hands on father and man, kind, caring and always willing to help his family or friends with whatever project needed his valued opinion or expertise. His family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Chanda Care Inc., a home health support system who cared for him with love, dignity and compassion during his illness. The Porter family will be forever grateful. They would also like to thank the staff and nurses at Orchard Valley at Wilbraham. He leaves his loving children, Cody R. Porter of Wilbraham, and Mackenzie J. Porter of Manchester, NH; his former wife, Amy J. Porter and her fiancé Michael Gouin of Wilbraham; and his cousins, Doug Sullivan of Hampton Bays, NY, and Peter Sullivan of Otis, MA. Besides his parents, his siblings, Allison G. Porter in 1955 and Scott G. Porter in 2015, predeceased Jeff. Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on April 1, 2023 at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street in Springfield. A private burial will take place in Woodland Dell Cemetery in Wilbraham.
