Jeffry "Jeff" Louis Ginter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 10, 2023.
Jeffry Louis Ginter, 65, of Somerset, WI, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023. Born on February 11, 1958, in Dubuque, Iowa, Jeffry was the loving husband of Patty (Olson) Ginter and the devoted father of Nicole (Nick) Arachikavitz and Kally Ginter. Kalypsa Arachikavitz, Jeff's first grandchild, was born 10 days after his passing.

Jeffry brought calmness, laughter, and his talent for fixing anything wherever he went. He was known for his charitable nature and enjoyed helping others. Above all, he was an exemplary family man who placed the love for his wife and children above everything else.

Jeffry had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed various activities such as camping, boating, fishing, waterskiing, and archery. His love for hunting eventually transformed into a passion for shooting at a gun range. He formed a unique bond with the animals in his woods, considering them pets. It was a common sight to find him in the front yard, feeding the deer corn from his hands. In the winter months, he liked to travel to warm destinations, preferably near water.

In addition to his immediate family, Jeffry is survived by his mother, Elaine (Heller) Ginter, and his siblings: Ron (Judy) Ginter, Greg (Monica) Ginter, Mike Ginter, Jan (Tony) Thilges, Steve (Julie) Ginter, Mary Dehn, and Tom (Tana) Ginter. He also left behind many nieces and nephews who adored him. Jeffry was preceded in death by his father, Gene Ginter, and his nephew, William Ginter. A big part of Jeffry's life, for more than 40 years, were his in-laws. Patty's sisters are Tammy (John) Seibel, Brenda (Tim) Winters, Renee (Chris) Paluck, and Susie (Jim) Burant. Jeff is survived by his mother- in- law, Elaine Beauvais and her many grand and great grandchildren. Jeffry was preceded in death by his father-in law, David Olson and his nephew Shay Tilander.

A funeral service honoring Jeffry's life will be held at Saint Anne's Catholic Church, located at 141 Church Hill Rd. Somerset, WI 54025. On December 7th a visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Mass from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The burial will be held from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, and a lunch reception will follow at 12:30 pm in the church basement.

Jeffry Louis Ginter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Jeff was so proud of his "pit pass" at the Joliet NASCAR Races. He always put Patty first no matter the situation. Miss and Love you

I was blessed to call Uncle Jeff my Godfather. He was always full of energy, quick witted, and ready for a fun time, especially if the activity included the outdoors. Floating down the apple river, being whipped off the tube behind the boat, country concerts, NASCAR races; are only the few of the countless memories. Whenever we were together, our humor and personality fed off one another. I could always count on you for a good laugh or just to simply laugh at my jokes and stories with your contagious laugh. Uncle Jeff, not only did you leave footprints on the sandbars, but you left them in all of our hearts. You will be greatly missed. Love you & God Bless.

This is my most recent picture of Uncle Jeff. This is on the wedding shuttle bus. Uncle Jeff is of course wearing his cowboy boots and has a roadie beer in his hand.

You are ALL in my Prayers. So many fond memories of Jeff.....the last & most recent was when Mary & I met several relatives in Hayward over the St. Patrick's Day weekend. Jeff & Patty had made a huge pot of corn beef & cabbage. The joys of cooking & grilling out was frequently shared with so many. Our gathering was filled with lots of laughter while we played games & told funny stories. Now, he will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace Jeff. God Bless.

I remember whenever I was with Jeff and someone would ask the question "What kind of music do you like"? and his response was always "Both kinds - Country and Western", and then he would laugh and say is there any other kind?

A memory that brought so many smiles was the Summer of 2004 (July 11th) when Jeff took all of the kids down to play in the river ...

Thank you again Jeff!
