JENNIFER MARIE MATHIS

God received Jennifer's christian spiritual body into heaven on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 65 earth years of age. Jennifer graduated from Delano High School with the scholastic honor and achievement of class valedictorian. She attended California State University, Fresno, majoring in business with an emphasis on accounting and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She worked for a large CPA firm after graduation for a number of years, and then went to work in private industry for an agriculture cooperative achieving promotions to the position of president. Her constant battle with debilitating migraines forced her into disability retirement in 1998. Some of her fondest memories, other than family events, included the summers she worked as a bus tour guide of Yosemite Valley, riding her horse Misty on camping trips in the Sierra, training and loving her dog Russia, a Siberian husky and wolf mix, and best of all, ballroom dancing. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard. She is survived by her husband Ron; her parents, Bob and Peggy Maust; her sister, Debbie Burgess and her husband Tom, and their family; step-daughter, Danice Mathis Pierini; and step-son Dane Mathis, and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Clovis, located at 2080 Tollhouse Road, Clovis, CA, on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.
