SHIROKY, Jenny (Nanie) (née Strezavsky) After a lengthy illness, on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Beloved wife of Isaac Shiroky for sixty-seven years. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Odile Shiroky, Joy Shiroky and Steven Lawee, Dr. Jane Skelton and the late Dr. Jeffrey Shiroky. Most adored Nana of Jonah and Ben Shiroky; David and Genevieve Shiroky, Jennifer Shiroky and fiancé Perry Kochavi, Diana Shiroky; Erica and Michelle Lawee. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Selma and the late Peter Corobow, Lila and Nathan Brotman; and sister-in-law of the late Ray and the late Carl Ship, the late Mary and the late Myer Kaminsky, the late Anne and the late Joseph Bogoroch. Dearest cousin of Sheila and Larry Sckolnick. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, Michelle Esteban, Gweyn Ferraren and Juliet Orios. Special thanks to Marichelle for her kindness while Jenny was in the hospital. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care and comfort shown by Dr. Donald Ginsberg, the nurses and staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Dorshei Emet Reconstructionist Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Due to the advent of Passover, there is no shiva. The family will be receiving visitors at her home through Monday evening. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors, (514) 734-1825.
