JERALD ALLEN REED

JERALD ALLEN REED, 71, passed on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born July 3, 1950, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Clair and Marjorie (nee. Neville) Reed, and had lived a number of years in Coldwater, Mich. He was a 1968 graduate of Leo JR/SR High School. At age 16, he began driving semi - trucks and was currently employed by JAT Trucking of Fort Wayne. He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, being on the lake, fishing, and boating. Jerry was a member of Life Changing Church in Angola and a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 409 Leo, Ind. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Lynn Reed; children, Mindy Hood and Jeremy (Jen) Hood; brothers, Tom (Vicki) and Gene (Jane) Reed; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46825), with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial in Leo Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Life Changing Church in Angola, Ind. Arrangements by D.O.
