Jerome B. Toigo, 78, of Skokie. Beloved husband of Jacquie Toigo, nee Fraser. Devoted father of Debbie, Jerry Jr., David (Gabrielle), and Laura Toigo. Loving grandfather of Brandon and Tabatha. Dear great-grandfather of Addy. Loving cousin of Carl Angell. Adored son of the late Laura and Pompeo Toigo. Brother of the late Harry Toigo. Fond brother-in-law, cousin, friend, and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jerry was a proud Northwestern alumni. He enjoyed his time playing the French Horn in the Marching Band. Soon after college, Jerry was offered a position with the Chicago Symphony. Because of his dedication to his family business, he declined the offer to take over Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers, which was run by his father. Jerry was an avid tennis player and a recognized Mason. He spent many years serving as the Vice-President of United Savings and Loan. Jerry volunteered at Misericordia Home with his wife Jacquie for over 30 years. He served many years as the President of Fairview South School, District 72 School Board, and substitute teacher for Niles Township High School, District 219. Jerry's love and dedication to his family and his steadfast work ethic will live on. He has touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th, 4PM to 8PM, Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N Cicero Avenue. A Memorial service will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's name may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 N Ridge Ave, Chicago.
