Jerry Landgraff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 22, 2025.
With love and sadness, we bid farewell to Jerry Dale Landgraff, 81 years old, of Bakersfield, California, who passed away on April 13th, 2025 at Mercy Hospital.

Jerry was born in Kendallville, Indiana on January 14th, 1944 to Dale and Marie Landgraff. He is survived by his son Brian and Brian's partner Claudette; daughter Teresa, son-in-law Stewart, and granddaughter Eden; sister Beverly; sister Linda and brother-in-law Roger; and best friend Dave.

At a young age, Jerry became interested in automotive design and engineering. A self-taught craftsman, he moved to California to pursue a career in the custom automotive industry. Along with his son Brian, he was co-owner of Custom Works, a business specializing in design, restoration, and renovation of classic cars, in Apple Valley and later Bakersfield, for over 45 years. Jerry was a uniquely talented innovator and problem solver whose creative contributions made a lasting impact on his community.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jerry to Mercy Hospital - Friends of Mercy Foundation (Cardiac Designation): https://www.supportfriendsofmercy.org/ways-to-give/donate-online

Grew up together in Kendallville and real buddies through high school. Best man at my wedding. Almost went to California with him after high school , he had a motorcycle picked out for me. I have some wonderful memories of a great guy.
