Shaw, Jerry Allen, born Dec 18, 1942Russell and Edith, died Tues, Dec 9, 2008. Visitation: 1pm to 3pm, Mon, Dec 15, 2008. Memorial Service: 3pm, Mon, Dec 15, 2008 both at Cornerstone Mortuary, Wichita, KS. He was raised in Fredonia, KS where he graduated in 1961 before going on to graduate fromState in 1965. After graduating from college, he married and joined the Air Force, retiringainAfter retirement, he moved to Utah and worked as a contractor for the military for 8 years after which he decided to retire permanently at the age of 50 to pursue his true calling of skiing the slopes of Powder Mountain. He was also an avid runner, mountain biker, frisbee-football player and pool player. He loved all music and his guitar playing will be remembered fondly around many a campfire for years to come. He is survived by three daughters, Michelle Hackney of Justin, TX; Annette Cook of Rose Hill, KS; and Angela Westerberg of Derby, KS as well as two sisters Barbara Greathouse of Topeka, KS; and JoEllen Hoelting of Austin, TX; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
