Jesse Allan Reiter

REITER, Jesse Allan - June 7, 1970 - March 24, 2007. It is with great love and sadness that the family of Jess Reiter announces his unexpected passing on March 24, 2007. While Jess was an enthusiastic lover of baseball, genealogy and crabbing excursions off the dock at Fort Mason, his greatest love was simply being the devoted husband to his best friend, Sarah, and the happiest father in the world to his precious daughter Penelope, age 3. Jess went through life creating unforgettable and often hilarious memories for all of us whose lives he touched. Born in Conneaut, Ohio to James and Mary Carol Reiter, his family moved from Pennsylvania to Healdsburg when Jess was three. A year later he met Sarah and their childhood friendship blossomed. They began dating at 19 and married at 22. Jess lived in Healdsburg until 1991, when he relocated to Davis, California. He loved his work and his friends in the Davis/Woodland area, and he also leaves many wonderful friends and lifelong memories in Healdsburg. Jess was the much loved youngest child of his large family. Jess is survived by his mother Carol Reiter, and his siblings Tammy Harmon, Cindy Benson, Becki Valente, Jim Reiter, Vicky Royer, Jon Reiter, Joe Reiter, Molly McGovern and Ed Reiter; also survived by his loving in-laws, Carla Howell and Bill and Martha Howell; as well as many other greatly treasured relatives and friends. He will be missed dearly and remembered always with deep love and affection. Memorial service will be held Saturday March 31, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at the Alexander Valley Community Hall, 5512 Highway 128 Geyserville, CA.
