Jessie A. Collins

Jessie A. (Brady) Collins, age 83, a lifelong resident of Weymouth, passed away on February 1, 2018. Jessie was a marketing executive for the Massachusetts Lottery for over 20 years. Her whole life centered around her two sons, Frank and Barry, and her special love of her two grandchildren, Billy and Melanie. Jessie always took the time to look terrific where ever she went. She had a strong spiritual life and a heart of gold and always visited relatives in nursing homes with her cousin Suzie. Jessie loved shopping at many of the local stores, cooking and always kept an immaculate house. Jessie is survived by and her son, Frank Collins and his wife Sharon of Hanson; her grandchildren, Billy and Melanie Collins, both of Hanson; and her sister, Mary Cohen of Orlando, Fla. Jessie also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Barry Collins Jr. and her two sisters, Lorraine and Barbara Brady both of Weymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Jessie on Tuesday, February 6, from 4-8 p.m. in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), S. Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. for a celebration of life prior to the funeral Mass which will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth.
