Jimmy Daniel Stafford, Jr., 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. He was the oldest child of Jimmy Daniel Stafford and Daisy Louise Stafford Micka (nee) Culberson, both deceased.

At the time of his passing Jimmy was in the care of White Oak Manor of Burlington and AuthoraCare Hospice after many years of poor health due to Agent Orange diabetes.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Emily Allan Stafford.

In addition to his wife, Emily, he is survived by an adopted daughter, Leslie Nichole Bennett of N.C.; two grandchildren, Cameron Bennett and Laci Turner (Mason) of N.C.; a step-daughter, Catherine Johnson of Bradenton, Fl.; two step- grandchildren: Andrew Espinosa and Zoey Lucas of Bradenton, Fl. Jimmy's two sisters: Pamela Braxton (Ronald) of Graham and Tina Harvalias (Manolis) of Liberty; niece Stephanie Edwards (James) of Graham; two nephews, Steven Harvalias (Amber) of Graham and Christopher Harvalias of Atlanta, Ga. His family includes three great nieces, a great nephew and numerous cousins.

Jimmy was born November 4, 1951 in Burlington, N.C. and was raised in Snow Camp. He attended Southern High School graduating in 1970. After graduation he joined the Air Force for four years serving as a perimeter guard in Viet Nam from 1971-1972. Upon his discharge in 1974 he returned to live most of his life in Alamance Co. where he worked for Burlington Industries until it closed.

He was a professional wrestler for several years wresting as Jim Stafford, Mr. Hollywood and Nevada Slim. He was active in the DARE program and for several years organized an annual fund raiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital thru Riverdale Baptist Church.

Omega Funeral Service and Crematory was entrusted with the care for Jimmy and interment in the Salisbury National VA Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, N.C. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 15th at 11:00 by Rev. Debra Shander.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jimmy Daniel Stafford's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
