I just found out about Joni´s passing today. I am another who never met her in person but only through WW Connect. I loved reading her posts that, even when having a hard day, made things seem a bit more positive. She will be greatly missed. I pray for all of you to find peace.

Joan was a wonderful, caring person who put the welfare of others above her own welfare. She was very funny and very smart. She had a great memory and could tell wonderful stories about her life growing up. She saw the humor in everyday life and shared it with others in a very entertaining way. She was deeply religious and a devoted Jehovah's Witness who set the example of a kind, sincere and loving person for others to follow. I saw her sitting with a dear friend once who was very ill and Joan's loving kindness and care was very moving. I will miss her. I know she looked forward to a resurrection on a beautiful Earth

I was social media friends with Joni. I never met her in person but she was kind to me and talked me off a ledge once or twice. She will be missed by many people.

My prayers go out to you and the family as you mourn the loss of your Mama. Joni was the sweetest soul I ever knew. I met her on WW Connect and you know the rest of our story.

Your mom had a love for others and a quirky sense of humor that touched literally thousands of people through Weight Watchers Connect. She'll live on as our Chief Forkball in our hearts forever for the light and laughter and love she brought to our hearts and to this world.

As the line from the sonnet "High Flight" says, she has "Put out [her] hand and touched the face of God.

My heart breaks just writing this but, Katy, your Mama was an extraordinary lady. She left an imprint on my heart that I´m forever grateful for even though, I never met her (I´m a WW, too). May God bless and keep you and your family. I will never forget Joni. ALWAYS A FORKBALL

Considering the fact that I never met Joni in person, I felt close to her. I was so happy when she got to retire. I just knew it would make her feel better! I knew that from my own experience. No more fighting traffic. And she was brave-braver I bet than she realized. And gorgeous-those beautiful eyes and translucent skin! Wow! And she wanted to get a kitten-I don´t know if she was able to get one. See you in heaven, Joni!

There is too many memories to chose just one. Just know Joan will be missed as she is like a 2nd mother figure to us Sanderson bunch. We love her and know she is in Jehovahs memory too. We look forward to seeing her in the new system. Love all of you who have this loss to deal with.

My sincerest condolences to Joni´s family. Your mother/grandmother was such a wonderful lady. I will miss her humor, wisdom, and stories that she would share on WW. The loss of our Chief Forkball is surely heavens gain. Rest in peace Miss Joni.

I am another Weight Watchers friend who is mourning the loss of Joni. She brightened so many people's days with her quirky humor and funny stories. I am so saddened by this loss of this lovely lady. As someone else said, heaven is laughing with Joni in it. Rest in peace sweet forkball.

How Joni made my life better? There are too many ways to count. I only wish I could have met her in person! I suffered from severe depression for over 40 yrs despite many medications that did not work. I joined Weight Watchers online where I met the President of the Forkballs, which is how she referred to us. What a wonderful person she was!!! Her humor picked up my spirits for many years. She was a kindred spirit to me! Joni had empathy, love and more for everyone. I grew up being a comical person as our family had enough sadness in it. I was always trying to make my family laugh. Joni had it down to an art. I'm sure God was jealous of our Weight Watchers Connect group enjoying her so much, that he decided to bring her to Heaven . As I told others, I am sure there are angels losing parts of their wings from laughing. Joni should have been a late night comedian on TV. She could have topped Johnny Carson and the rest. I am missing her live, humor and presence every day. She truly was a gift to all of us. May God keep her family in the palm of His hand. We loved you Joni and I will always remember you! You were the best friend to so very many of us. May God bless your family.
With love.
