We would like to express our condolences to the family of Coach Bucci. All three of our children had interaction with Coach at Backcourt Hoops. He was a great coach and dedicated to all of the kids. No matter where he saw us he always took the time out to say hello. He will be missed!

With the fondest of memories, and very heavy hearts,we will always remember Coach Bucci.
He was a big part of my son's life. From the Bishop Hannon era, playing the most exciting games to sold out crowds, with signs saying"Welcome to the jungle", were probably some of the best days of our lives.
NEPA AAU...those games really meant so much to everyone.
What a fantastic time it was...
Thank you for all the years of hard work, and dedication. You were an important part of all those cherished years.
Your legacy will live on through all the lives you touched.
You were the MVP all along!!!
We love you "Booch"......
The Betancourt family.

Coach Bucci was a HERO to foster and adoptive children whom he helped by providing them with basketball instruction. He additionally arranged for use of his training facility to aid in the promotion of families' desires to become foster/adoptive parents. What a loving heart he had! I and so many are thankful for his compassion for others. Mr. Bucci is greatly missed and now becomes a Heavenly ANGEL rather than the Earthly ANGEL he was. Condolences to all of his family.

A long time friend dating back to the early '70's in Lake Ariel. John was a great son, brother and friend. As thousands will remember him as Coach Bucci, I will simply remember "Chuchie". Rest in Peace my friend.

The community lost an Icon with the passing of Coach John Bucci. He helped countless kids find there way in life. If you played AAU for Coach Bucci and did not have the money to travel He would find a way to make it work. John was all about helping the Kids.
