John "J.J." Bustamante Jr.

Memorial services for John "J.J." Bustamante, Jr, 39, of Portales will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2016, in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel. Burial of the cremains will follow in the Portales Cemetery.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 PM.
John Jesse Bustamante, Jr., known to many as "J. J.", was born March 8, 1977, in Roswell, and died at his home in Portales on March 16, 2016. He grew up in Roswell and later Portales where he received his schooling. Later, John studied college classes on line. He had recently gotten a CDL, and was searching for a job as a driver. For the past two months he had been employed at Privett Hatchery in Portales. J. J. enjoyed doing pencil drawings of various subject matters. He was a very loving and affectionate person, and loved his family very deeply.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Madrid of Portales; his father, Johnny Bustamante, Sr. of Roswell; a brother and sister-in-law, Isaac and Erica Stewart of Albuquerque; another brother, Adam Busatmante of Roswell; and two sisters, Jennifer Bustamante of Roswell and Sarah Bustamante also of Roswell; and four nieces, Izabella and Santana Stewart and Kylie Terrazas and Avonni Silva.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Johnny Joe Madrid on March 25, 2012.
