I have many uncles; but by far my Uncle John was my favorite and the best. I really looked up to him as a child as well as when I became an adult. I loved it when he tried to look mean at me when I was screwing around; but always ended up smiling at me. I love my Uncle Johnny very much!

John Castelli my very good friend for over50 years, broke my heart and passed away long before his time. A man who gave me many laughs told me hundreds of stories, was kind and funny and a perfect friend. I miss him now and will always miss him. His passing is a great loss for me, his friends, family and Pittsburg. I write this with tears in my eyes.... God bless you!

It was always such a pleasure to be in the company of Uncle John. He always made me feel so welcome and I have enjoyed many of his fabulous stories. The world was a better place with him in it.

I just learned of John's passing this afternoon. John was at Calgon when I joined in 1969. He was a good man and easy to work with. Alice and I send our sympathies to all the family.

I worked closely with John from the time I started at Calgon in 1969 until my career took me to Europe many years later. I always could count on him to step up to the many challenges we faced as a growing company. He taught me a great deal about Advertising and Communications and was valued colleague. Please accept Megan and my deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.

Steve, Liz, Amanda, Jonathan, Mrs. Castelli and Joe:
Our deepest sympathies to all of you. Of the many, many wonderful blessings that has always been a part the friendship, warmth and hospitality that you've extended to us is knowing all of your family...not the least special of which has been knowing your Dad, Steve. What a treasure it was to share some time over the years. And, what an amazing will to survive his illness - which is just further testimony of how wonderful all of you are, that he wanted to be with all of you for as long as possible.
Our love and prayers go with him and with all of you.

The two words that best describe my feeling of Uncle Johnny are loved and admired. He was a helpful, caring man and he was also tough as nails. Other than my own father, he is and always will be my father figure. I love you very much, and I'm relieved you are not suffering anymore, you will be greatly missed.
