John J. Castelli

Beloved husband and father, John J. Castelli, age 77 of Payson,Utah, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home. He was born September 29, 1933 in Morristown, New Jersey to Anthony and Maria Castelli. John served in the Army Air Corps during the Korean Conflict. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree. He worked as a Purchasing Manager for 25 years. He married Audrey Thomas Kolling, May 23, 1987 in Downey, California. He was an accomplished musician and many enjoyed his performances as a drummer for over 50 years. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge, the Knights of Columbus and was active in the Catholic Church. Survivors include: his wife, Audrey; children, Danny (Cindy) Castelli, Ogden; Tracy (Carter) Moe, Fallbrook, CA; Donald Castelli, Cleveland, OH; Brian (Nancy) Castelli, Mission Viejo, CA; Connie (Roger) Stip, Riverside, CA; Angela Castelli, Las Vegas, NV and Julie Cook of California. Also 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 28, 2011, 11:00 a.m. in the San Andres Catholic Church, 315 East 100 North, Payson. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Wednesday, 6-8:00 p.m. or Thursday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Santaquin Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by the Santaquin American Legion, Post #84.
