JOHN ANTHONY CONNORS Sept. 19, 1927 - Jan. 23, 2008 John was born in N.Y.C. He attended Fordham U. and N.Y.U. He ran his own successful construction business until 1973 and then moved to Texas. In 1989, he received the MAN OF THE YEAR award from the city of Atlanta, Texas. In 1990 he came to Hawaii with his family to join other family members on Oahu. John started Ozone Industries, an ozone based water purification system that was successful in several supermarkets and hotels, including the Beachcomber where it served to replace the pre-existing detergent based laundry system. John was very active in St. Anthony's parish in Kailua. He served on the Parish Council, served as Eucharistic minister, lead the weekly rosary, organized the first Marian Conference, and was an active member of the Serrans. Survivors include his brother, Dr. Lawrence Connors; his children, Peter, Melanie, Janine, Sean, and Meaghan; & 5 grandchildren, Priscilla, Grayson, Natalie, Rory, & Liam .
