John A. Derynoski

SOUTHINGTON - John A. Derynoski, 87, of Southington passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Southington Care Center surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Porterfield) Dery-noski of 66 years.

Born Aug. 28, 1926, in Southington he was the son of the late Stanley K. and Mary (Dembiaski) Derynoski. John was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. He retired from New England Air Craft and was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 72.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, David Derynoski and wife, Mary Lou, Michael Derynoski and wife, Cari and Christine Flugrad and husband, Russell and son-in-law, James Putnam, all of Southington; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Charlene Putnum; a granddaughter, Darlene Derynoski; two brothers, Edward and Walter Derynoski; and a sister, Alice Dutton.

Funeral services will be held on Monday 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Sou-thington. Burial with military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
