Mr. Draper died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., he was a son of the late Warren Carroll and Margaret Southfield Draper. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University, was elected to Kappa Rho Sigma (Honorary Science Fraternity), and served four years in the U. S. Air Force. He spent most of his years in the pulp and paper industry and was employed with Union Bag/Camp and Consolidated Paper Co., and retired from Sonoco Products Co. He finished his career as an industrial consultant for the South Carolina Technical Schools. He was a past member of Rotary and past chairman of the Board of Trustees for Florence-Darlington Technical College.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Battle Draper of Hartsville; daughters and son-in-law, Carol Mozingo of Hartsville, Janet and Ray Alexander of Hartsville; brother, Robert Sam Draper of Litchfield, Mich.; grandchildren (spouse), Laura (Sam) Privette, Jeremiah John Mozingo, Lisa Alexander, Katherine Katie Mozingo; special friends, James Peterson and Sylvia and Antonio Robles.
