John was a very special human being. I was very blessed to begin our friendship in 8th grade circa 1975, and he was my roomate our first semester at WSU in January 1982. The Monroe friends we have in common are all devastated now.
John was extremely intelligent, very loyal, and very kind. May the memories of him bless his family, friends, and colleagues after his tragic passing.
