The Honorable John W. Fritz, Jr., died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, in his Quakertown home. He was 88. To the Ftitz family
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. I have so many fond memories of "the tootsie roll man" from Bound Brook UM church. Mr Fritz was a special man. He always slipped me extra tootsie rolls being one of the youngest children of the group.

To the Fritz family
I knew the judge when he used to come to preach in Butler, NJ when Rev. Alf Olson was away. His preaching was so wonderful with such a great sense of humor. Then Linda was working at Butler UMC as the youth pastor. I lost track and moved down to Somerset. The judge's name would come up here and there including helping Lindsey Vitale and her mother, Sandy, teach a trial course in the county court room for their 5th grade classes. Then Lindsey's aunt, Barbara Bujak O'Donnell was a victim of a malpractice trial and we saw the judge's portrait while we were there. The last time I saw the judge was at an anniversary service and lunch at the Bridgewater UMC for our anniversary. He will be missed and touched many people's lives.

Dear Mrs. Fritz,
I am a member of the Bound Brook UMC and fondly remember when Judge Fritz would give a sermon in the absence of the minister. He was a delighful person, one of humor and honesty. He will be sadly missed. I will keep you in my prayers as you go through this difficult time.
