John Gardner Obituary

John T. Gardner Sr., 74 of Whitehall, formerly of Center Valley, passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020. Jack was the husband of the late Judy (Basara) Gardner who passed on December 29, 2019. Born in Allentown, Jack was a son of the late Harry A. and Margaret M. (McGorry) Gardner. Jack proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service he became a Pennsylvania State Trooper. His career was divided between working in the Philadelphia region and the Dublin Barracks. His passions during his life were his wife and his son John T. Jr.. He was an avid Corvette Collector, and enjoyed playing golf. Surviving is his son John T. Jr., wife Taryn and his grandchildren; Violet and Lyla. Additionally he is survived by Diane Gardner, Jeannette Basara, James Basara (Nancy), Gene Basara (Janice), and William Clark. He was preceded in death by his brother Harry. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum in Allentown. A gathering will be held from 10:30-11:00 am in the Mausoleum. Arrangements entrusted to the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Allentown.

mother Gail is Jack’s cousin and my sister Karen and her husband would often spend time with Jack. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
